PR and IT: trends and perspectives

On October 22 the third conference PR&IT took place within Russian Internet Week 2010. The conference was organized by Gurov and Partners Communication Group. In included three round tables.

The first round table was devoted to PR in the Internet. It covered such topics as Public Relations in crisis, promotion in the child focused segment of the Internet, off-gauge projects, main problems of the systems of public opinion management etc.

Philip Gurov, executive partner of Gurov and Partners Communication Group presented his ideas on promotion of Internet resources of Professional Associations.

The second round table covered issues of Digital PR. It was mentioned that in spite of the fact that the term “Digital PR” has recently become widely used among Russian communication specialists, most of them make a mistake reducing this notion to only internet promotion technologies. Within the round table many standard and irregular tools for digital promotion were considered. Also speakers presented some cases for digital promotion in government as well as commercial sectors, demonstrated some best practices and common missteps.

Participants of the third round table shared their experience in promotion of IT startups. The widest response was given to the report of Pavel Cherkashin, Microsoft, about building reputation from zero point and to presentation of Olga Manannikova (hh.ru) about startup HR.
